I don’t plan on writing to you everyday, and being newly on this ride, I’m appreciating my openings. I love your idea about the glass of water and the thought in the morning. Even without the water, this morning at 5 am when I rolled over I heard the word “Upanishads” in my head. For me, it’s not something I really know anything about, so I picked up my handy phone beside me and googled and was reminded of the many early mornings I would sit chanting the Atma Gita and Guru Gita in an ashram 30 years ago. I began humming the tune and some words came back to me. I was washed with the memory of that moving spiritual practice that moved me to tears often. I sense I’m in the process of creating a spiritual practice.
